Foreign Policy and International Relations during the Brazilian Military Regime (1964-1985): New Sources and Interpretations

The project aims to develop and internationalize the knowledge about the foreign policy and the international relations of the Brazilian Military Regime. It will be done through the analysis of primary sources recently opened to public research. There are three main subjects to be studied in this project: the bilateral relationship with the United States, the Brazilian role in coup d’états in other South American countries, and the influence of international stakeholders in the transition for democracy in Brazil in the 1980s.
