Global History Traditions of Latin America and the Caribeean

Nowadays the Global History is a phenomenon debated by various researchers worldwide. The debates about this perspective in the Latin America and Caribbean are the object of study for professor Rafael Marquese, this Pocket Talk ‘s guest. Marquese is a professor at the History Departament of the São Paulo University (USP) and coordinator at the Brazil and the World System Studies Laboratory (Lab-Mundi). In this context, Marquese presents the Latin-American traditions of what today is understood as Global History since the end of the XIX century until nowadays. Besides that, it is also debated the importance of this approach for a better comprehension of the Brazilian and Latin-American historiography.
