Diplomacy post-Westphalia: Is the EU a model for the rest of the world?

Considering the relevant changes in terms of European Union’s governance, issues regarding the role of and influence on countries concerning the changing European foreign policy emerge. Bearing that in mind, FGV’s International Relations Center invites David Spence, PhD , Sciences Po, and currently, Visitant Fellow at the European Institute at the London School of Economics, to debate these emerging issues. In this context, Spence presents the “External Action Service”, and talks about the main factors that have influenced changes in the Westphalian system, whose rules maintained a situation of international relations that thereby became challenged, as he better explains.
