Lorena Hakak Marçal

 Lorena holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the São Paulo School of Economics (FGV EESP). Currently, she is a Professor at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV RI) and in the Graduate Program in Economics at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC). Additionally, she is the current president of the Society of Family and Gender Economics (GeFam). Her research focuses on family and gender economics. She writes every two weeks for Folha de São Paulo. 

Her work focuses on family formation and dissolution, gender inequalities, labor market outcomes, intrafamily bargaining, and demography. 

Her research fields include Family Economics, Gender Economics, Applied Microeconomics, and Game Theory.
