FGV’s School of Social Sciences professor Bernardo Buarque de Hollanda and Alexandre Moreli, coordinator of the FGV’S Center for International Relations, based at CPDOC/FGV, participated at the XXII International Congress of Historical Sciences. The event took place in Jinan, China between the 23rd and 29th of August.

Professor Alexandre Moreli attended the joint session “New approaches to History of Diplomatic Practices”, presenting his research “Aiming to rise and to lead: the reorganization of the Brazilian diplomatic corps in the aftermath of the Second World War”. Bernardo Buarque de Hollanda presented his work “The experience of the World Cups: Testimonials from Brazilian former players of the National Team from 1954 to 1982”, at the session “Football: a mirror of globalization history?”.
