The Origins of the Brazil - Argentina Nuclear Cooperation
Hotel Everest Rio, Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro - 21/03/2012 - 09:00 - 23/03/2012 - 18:00

Between 21-23 March, the Center for International Relations at FGV and the Department of Political Science and International Studies from the University of Birmingham organized a conference on the history of the nuclear programs of Brazil and Argentina between the years of 1967 and 1988. The conference was held as a critical oral history debate, bringing together key actors of the nuclear programs of both countries to answer the questions from academics and to discuss documents that have been opened for research.
After the conference, the research team organized a complete transcription of the debate and made available online several documents previously unpublished about the issue.
CPDOC will also work on a documentary about the meeting.
