"Global Terrorism: Concepts and Consequences" - Lecture by the Ambassador of India in Brazil  B.S. Prakash

The lecture was followed by a debate about global terrorism and its implications after the death of Osama bin Laden. Over the past decades, India has been one of the countries most affected by terrorist attacks, most of them attributed to islamic extremists. Terrorism in India is a direct consequence of the geopolitical situation in Pakistan and Afghanistan. In 2006, more than 180 died in attackts at train stations in Bombaim, and nearly 200 died in another attack in the same city in 2008.

What is the indian perspective on terrorism and how the death of Osama bin Laden should affect the global war on terror?
