Selection Processes
The Getulio Vargas Foundation and FGV IR have established several scholarship programs that aim to qualifiy students and create opportunities so that adverse social and financial conditions cease to hinder a student's entry and stay in the institution.
Entrance exams
Admission to the undergraduate course in International Relations can be done through three different processes
The entrance exam for the International Relations course has a single phase, consisting of a written online test on Portuguese, English, History, Geography and Logical-Mathematical Reasoning topics, in addition to an essay.
Scores obtained in the Humanities; Languages*; Mathematics; and Writing categories in the Brazilian National Entrance Exam (ENEM) can be used to apply for a undergraduate position in FGV IR.
* English must be chosen as a second language in this test category.
Candidates who have taken international university entrance exams, such as SAT, Abitur, International Baccalaureate (IB) and Baccalauréat (Bac), can use the grade obtained to apply for a place in the FGV International Relations Graduation.

Scholarships
The School of International Relations offers three types of scholarship.
Awarded based on performance in university entrance exams.

Financing that covers between 20% and 100% of the monthly fee. The reimbursement is mandatory and will be carried out one year after the conclusion of the course. The amounts are adjusted for inflation with the IGP-M index, with zero interest.
Scholarships are awarded based on the following criteria:
- Availability of resources;
- Financial need of the student and their family;
- The student's academic performance.
Partial or total exemptions from academic fees.

It consists of a full exemption from the academic fees of the FGV RI undergraduate program, granted at the School's discretion, to those who meet the following criteria in the year of admission:

Be approved in the entrance exam for admission to the FGV undergraduate program in International Relations with a call for enrollment in the first round;

Also be approved in the first round of the entrance exam (Vestibular) for a public university maintained by the state of São Paulo with a campus located in the capital.
