Brazilian foreign policy is centered in the principle of non-intervention. Over recent years, however, Brazil has been a protagonist in several iniciatives of international crisis solution, especially in Latin America. In partnership with the EAESP, the EESP, and DIREITO SP, the project intends to study Brazil's role in international crisis solution since the establishment of the Nova República in 1985. The research project is divided in three nuclei that will approach juridical and normative issues, economic questions and problems refering to goods and risks taken by different stakeholders in crisis management. Concluding the project, a testimony database of historical and documental nature will be developed and a conference will be held. As a product of the conference, a book will be published in an edited volume exploring the theme.
