Latin America between Reform, Revolution and Independence - 1955-64
Considering the importance of the debate on Latin American development, mainly in the 1950’s and 1960’s, FGV’s Center for International Relations invites Stella Krepp, visiting scholar of the University of Bern, to discuss briefly her research in this field. With a research about Revolution, Reform and Independence, she embarks in a case study about Cuba, Brazil and the former British Caribbean, focusing in their development narratives and comparing them with the global North. Moreover, her objective is to study how Brazil and Latin American related to the events that took place during this period, and to the themes of decolonization and emergency of the Third World.
